Bioinformatics Institute
Future students and interns
Bioinformatics is one of the most rapidly developing scientific fields today. A June 2014 article on the journal ‘Science’’s web site describes “An Explosion of Bioinformatics Careers” (Science website). This article says “with the rapid development of new tools to make sense of life science research and outcomes, spurred by innovative research in bioinformatics itself, scientists who are entranced by data can pursue more career options than ever before.” Bioinformatics is an exciting discipline to study, with a varied set of challenges and many interesting scientific questions to answer. It's easy to study bioinformatics at the University of Auckland and to undertake research projects as part of the Bioinformatics Institute.
